18 months old!

Elizabeth,

I can't believe that you are 18 months old! A year and a half... Time has flown by so fast. It's hard to believe that this time last year you were still a tiny 6 month old! You are growing and changing each and every day. It has been so fun to watch as you learn more and more. I know these next few months are going to be such fun, especially when your brother arrives. You LOVE little babies, so hopefully the same will be true with your little brother. Your Daddy and I love you very much and can't wait to see how you grow in the months to come.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

  • You weigh about 21 pounds (this was right after a stomach bug) and are 31 inches according to our measurements, but we'll get your official stats next Monday!
  • You have 11 teeth - 4 up top, 3 on bottom, and all 4 molar
  • You still wear size 3 diapers during the day and size 4 at night. I'm holding out on going to size 4 during the day until the diapers start leaking since you get more 3s than 4s in a box. ;)
  • Clothing wise, you can wear 18 months, 24 months, and even some 2T! It all depends on the brands. Most of the 24 months/2T stuff is a little too big, but it won't be long before you're in them regularly.
  • You love to be on the go! One of your new words this month is "go go," which you say whenever we ask you if you want to go get in the car.
  • You have about 15-20 words you say pretty regularly, but there are tons more that you've said once or twice and just don't seem to want to repeat. You also talk ALL the time - I can't wait until I can understand you!
  • This month, you said your first sentence, too. I dropped something and said "I dropped it," and you said right away "Drop it..." So fun!
  • Your hair is getting longer, but so far it's staying semi curly. I keep wondering if it's going to stay curly or if it'll straighten as it gets longer. The main curlyness is at the ends, but we'll see what happens to the rest.
Yet again, taking pictures were extremely difficult. You did not want to sit in your chair at all! You'd rather roam all around the backyard, as evidenced by some of the shots. :)
