Three Year Old Preschool Graduate

My sweet girl "graduated" from 3 year old preschool a couple weeks ago, and I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. They had a precious end of the year program where they sang a few songs and recited a Bible verse. It was fun to actually be able to sit through the program since I normally have to be on stage with my class. I absolutely love where I work and am so thankful for the ladies I work with!

After the actual program, the kids walk across the stage and are given a Godly trait. These are picked out by the teacher and Elizabeth's trait was "helpfulness." It makes my heart happy that my sweet girl likes to help! Here are a couple pictures of the day. I wasn't able to get a close picture while she was on the stage, but at least I got a few. ;)

First Day of School!

Today was our first day of school! It's definitely going to be an adjustment getting up and out the door by 7:45 am... But it's so worth it to be able to teach some super sweet four year olds (and so Elizabeth can go to preschool and David to Mother's Day Out!)

David wasn't too into pictures this morning... Probably because we had to wake him up about 30-45 minutes earlier than he normally wakes up. Luckily, they both still looked just as precious as they did this morning at the end of the day, so I was able to take some more pictures when he was a bit more cooperative. :)

Miss Elizabeth started 3 year old preschool this year, and I just can't believe that she's old enough to be in preschool. In just 2 short years she'll be in kindergarten... Be still my heart! She had a great first day and loves her teachers!

David started his second year in MDO this year. His teacher is a mom of one of my students, and I couldn't be more thrilled that he is in her class! He also had a great first day - in fact, he didn't even cry when I left him this morning! Now to pray that he continues doing this well with drop off. ;) He loves being at church/school, but doesn't like drop off too much...

I have a big wagon that I use to carry in all of my stuff, as well as the kids stuff. David and Elizabeth are both big helpers with the wagon. Today, David pulled it into the church for me. Sometimes he pulls, and sometimes he rides and Elizabeth pulls Such sweet helpers!

Online School

While I am thankful that I can take my courses online, sometimes I just don't want to do anything for certain classes. Take class chats for instance... I feel as if I could do a better job by having discussions where I can think about what I say and take my time to word it just the way I want. Instead, with class chats, I am put on the spot and have only a couple of minutes to respond. Oh well... Two chats down and only one or two left (we missed one already due to an emergency, so i don't know if we'll make it up or not).

Aside from that, not too much went on at the house today. Now that we have TV and internet I get distracted quite a bit more. I did, however, unpack all of my shoes and folded clothing. I have at least 35 pairs of shoes... Spoiled much? Granted, I have about 10 pairs of flip flops, my cowgirl boots, and ladybug rainboots*, but that is still a lot of shoes.

*On a side note, those boots were a Christmas gift from my previous landlord. My classroom last year were the "Letz Ladybugs," so when she saw those boots she thought they were perfect. Who cares that they were children's boots made in adult sizing!! I actually love the boots and my students love seeing me wear them.

Well, only 20 minutes of my chat left... Gotta get back to answering questions. Tomorrow's another early day for me. I've only commuted one day (Monday), and I'm already dreading the commute, but my students are definitely worth it! =)
