Parent Dedication

On Sunday, we had parent dedication at church. We promised to raise our precious kiddos up to love the Lord and do what we can to show them the truth. It was such a special time. Alan and I love our church and are so grateful for the time and effort they pour into our children. We are so thankful we were able to come back to the church we started out at and that our pastor, who did our premarital counseling eight years ago is still there. I know Alan and I can't wait to watch our children grow up in this church and we are excitedly looking forward to the day they all accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

Easter 2015

We had a super fun Easter this year! The kiddos actually let us sleep in until almost 8! We then did Easter baskets and got ready for church.

We had a great service and then headed back to the house to eat a quick lunch and get Easter dinner going. I made sure to take a couple pictures of the kiddos in their Easter outfits. They looked precious, despite the fact that sweet David's tie was WAY too long. :)

One of Alan's sisters and her two boys came down that afternoon to spend some time with us! It's always nice to get to see them - we used to see them more often when we lived closer. Elizabeth and David love their cousins! And I even got some snuggle time with my youngest nephew. Definitely looking forward to baby snuggles soon!

We hunted Easter eggs in the backyard! Which was something that I was afraid wouldn't happen  because we'd had so much rain lately. Then we had a yummy dinner with ham, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and green beans!

It's always so fun to get to see family, especially on a special holiday! Can't wait to see my sweet nephews again soon!

Spring Break 2015

My parents and our family had the opportunity to head to San Antonio for spring break this year! It was a blast! We met them in San Antonio Saturday just in time to eat lunch. We had initially planned on going to Rainforest Cafe for lunch, but accidentally didn't get reservations made. So we ended up going to County Line BBQ ( much better, in my opinion! ). The rest of Saturday was spent checking into the hotel, hanging out in the room, then going to the North Star mall. We lucked out there because they had The Cheesecake Factory! We all ate way too much then headed back to our hotel with cheesecake for a midnight snack. The kiddos stayed in Gammie and Pops' room for the night, so Alan and I were able to somewhat catch up on sleep.

Sunday morning we headed to Sea World! Oh my goodness, it was soooo much fun! The kiddos loved it, and so did the adults! We saw all sorts of shows, as well as saw the dolphins (my personal favorite), sharks, penguins, etc. Elizabeth was able to ride her first "roller coaster" with Gammie and really enjoyed it. We can't wait to go back, hopefully sooner rather than later!

That night, David fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner at The Alamo Cafe. He didn't wake up despite moving him out of the car, into the restaurant, and then his head in my lap so he could eat. He finally woke up as we ordered dessert and proceeded to chow down on his dinner and then sopapillas.

Monday morning mom and I took the kids to see Cinderella while the boys went to see some guy movie. They did great at the theater! David got a little restless towards the end, but all in all, it was a successful trip to the movies! I will say, however, the previews before Cinderella were extremely disappointing... They were all for PG-13 movies, and some of them really scared the kiddos. Highly inappropriate for a family friendly movie...

We then did a boat tour of the Riverwalk, walked around some, and then went and had dinner at Rainforest Cafe. David loved it, Elizabeth, not so much. The last time we went, she loved it, but this time all the animals kind of freaked her out.

Tuesday morning we had breakfast at the hotel then headed to San Marcos to visit with my Granny and Aunt Linda. We went to my favorite burger place for lunch, Centerpoint Grill, visited for a while, then headed back to College Station.

My parents stayed the night and then headed back Wednesday after lunch. We had so much fun and are so thankful that Gammie and Pops made such great plans! We can't wait to see them again!

Pumpkin Patch 2014

While we were in Texarkana, we hit up a local floral shop for some pumpkins. They had the most precious set up, and we went at the perfect time! We were the only ones there and a great time was had by all! David, Elizabeth, and I wound up with some pretty cute pumpkins out of the deal, and I'll post pictures of the kids pumpkins once they get them painted.
