Elizabeth is 3!

Our sweet girl is now a big three year old! I'm planning on doing a big post with her "photo shoot" and stats, but that will have to wait until after her 3 year old check-up!

We went to DoubleDave's for dinner (which  might turn into a tradition...) and then came back and opened presents. For her birthday, we got her an easel and David got her all of the accessories.  To say she was excited was an understatement...

The next morning, Daddy put it together before heading out to work. What a great daddy! David even got in and helped build it. :)

We spend all morning coloring and writing and playing with it! Definitely a hit with both Elizabeth and David!

The Rest of the Birthday Weekend

My grandparents were extremely generous and I didn't have to cook a single meal all weekend long! On Saturday after the birthday party, we went to Cheddars! Elizabeth wasn't in the mood for pictures... But we took some anyway!

Reading with Pops

We headed back to the house and Elizabeth was spoiled with presents from her Gammie, Pops, Uncle Dustin, and Aunt Michelle!

Can you PLEASE open Anna and Elsa!?

Elizabeth had a great weekend and can't wait to see all of her family again! :)

Elizabeth's Pinkalicious 3rd Birthday!

Elizabeth wanted a Pinkalicious birthday party this year, and I was happy to oblige! A HUGE thanks go to one of my friends, Shelly, because she had already done a Pinkalicious party so I got to borrow all of the decorations!! I made the cupcakes and we had tons of fun pink food! She's already decided that she wants a purple birthday next year...

One of Alan's good friends was in town from Alabama, so we were able to have him, his wife, and daughter come to the party! It was so much fun to see B.J., Michelle, and Brady!!

Our Little Man is 17 Months Old!

David wasn't really into his pictures this month... That is, until I gave him some bubbles. He is such a boy and did not want to sit in his chair for me, he'd rather be digging in the dirt! I guess that's the difference between boys and girls!

  • David has been such a helper this month! He cleans up when asked, brings me what I ask him to, and even goes to his room when I tell him he needs a diaper change!
  • You are in 24 month clothes, although some brands still seem a bit big yet. You're wearing size 5 shoes (only 2 sizes smaller than big sis). You are also still wearing size 4 diapers.

  • You have 17 teeth (I'm pretty sure you have an extra tooth that we need to go see the dentist about...), all of your teeth until you start working on your two year molars!
  • You are still a good eater and will try almost anything that we put on your plate.

  • My all time favorite of the month is that you learned to say, "Love you." I absolutely melt whenever you say it!
  • I can't even count the number of words you have. You're such a little parrot and I imagine it won't be too long before you start forming sentences!

  • You adore being outside and would stay out all day long if I let you! You especially love to color with (and eat...) chalk, play with your basketballs, and climb up our swingset and then slide down the slide.
  • You also love playing in the dirt... Most of the time you could use a bath whenever we come in from playing...

  • You love your big sister and want to do whatever she is doing... much to her occasional dismay. :)
  • You've also become quite the cuddlebug! Yet another thing I absolutely love!! When you wake up from your nap you just want to hang out in my lap for a while... melts my heart!

  • You love going on walks in the double stroller, in fact, any time we go into the garage, you climb up into the stroller.
  • You've also learned how to climb into the car and carseat. It amazes me when I watch you do it!

  • Right now you're favorite toys are anything that can be pushed and balls of all sorts and sizes!
  • You've also learned how to color and love to color all over paper!

David, your Daddy and I love you to the moon and back! We couldn't imagine our life without you! Can't wait to see what the next month holds. :)

Weekend Recap

We had a fun filled weekend with my parents!! We were planning on going to San Antonio and Sea World, but the weather didn't cooperate... So we headed to The Woodlands on Saturday to visit the children's museum, Cheesecake Factory, and the carousel in The Woodlands Mall.

The Children's Museum
D could've played in these shredded tires for hours (and he stayed there about 85% of the time)

E just ran around and played with everything. She loved it all!!

Best pic we could get with an overtired (and on the verge of being sick) D.

E loved the carousel

D did, too! But you probably couldn't tell from this pic.

When we got back Saturday evening, David started shaking uncontrollably. Luckily for us, we knew from his 2 month shots that shaking is a precursor to fever - we took him to the ER because he was shaking, cranky, and really pale and found out then. Sure enough, he wound up with a 100.4 temp (although I think it got higher than that because he didn't even feel warm until after I took his temp). However, he never ran any more fever and is back to his normal self!

Sunday during David's nap, my mom and I took Elizabeth to see Frozen. She loved it, as did I! It was the cutest thing, every so often she'd look at Gammie or me and just give us the sweetest smile. And whenever she wanted popcorn, she'd poke me until I shared. She crashed on the way home and was very ready for bed that evening.
