28 Weeks with Rebekah Jo

Pardon the hair and make-up (or lack thereof)... The kids are taking swim lessons this week and next week. The upside is that it's indoors so we don't have to worry about sunscreen. The downside is that it's indoors so it's extremely humid and muggy... Haha

How far along? 28 weeks

Baby's size? Head of cauliflower (16 inches, 2.5 pounds) According to my latest ultrasound, RJ is weighing in at 2.8 lbs, which my doctor said was right on track!

Gender? It's a baby girl! Rebekah Jo!

Maternity clothes? I've mainly been wearing my maternity clothes lately, just to look a little nicer... But I can still rock the regular athletic shorts, tank tops, and some dresses.

Weight Gain? 19 lbs! Two pounds less than I had gained with David, which I will take seeing as I lost weight in the beginning with him. My OB thinks I'll gain between 25-30, which isn't that bad...

Stretch marks? Not quite sure if I have new ones or not...

Belly button in or out? In, but getting flatter and flatter

Sleeping? Some nights are good and some are not...

Foods I'm loving? Just about anything!

Foods I'm hating? Nothing really!

Best moment this week? Picking David up in Tyler! And seeing our backyard finally come together. Fingers crossed that the plants make it despite the 100+ weather...

Movement? Most definitely!

What I'm looking forward to? Getting sweet RJ's room finished...

What I'm missing? Sleep! Haha

Symptoms? Frequent potty breaks, exhaustion, food cravings/aversions, and my fingers have started to swell. I bet a lot of it is due to the heat, but it's still no fun... And I might be looking at investing in a fake ring for the next 12 weeks

Milestones? I'm finally in the third trimester! 2/3 of the way done. ;)

Emotions? Pretty good this week!

Weekend Wrap-up

Well, I'm going to try to get back on track with posting things aside from all things baby related. I do have two other PRECIOUS children!!

Friday evening, Alan and I had an unexpected "date night!" Elizabeth was invited to a birthday party for one of her friends and it was the first one we just dropped her off for. The theme was cowgirl, so of course our sweet girl had to dress the part! I especially love her new pink boots!

While Elizabeth was at the party, Alan and I grabbed a quick bite to eat at Pei Wei and then headed home. Alan worked on putting out sod in our backyard while I caught up on a bit of TV...

Saturday morning Alan, Elizabeth, and I headed to Tyler to pick up our sweet boy! We met Gammie and Pops at Spring Creek BBQ for some yummy food. Once we got home, we grabbed CFA for dinner, headed to Lowe's for some plants/trees, and then it was back to play outside and plant our new stuff! Hopefully it doesn't die in this 100+ weather...

*stay tuned for pictures! I can't get my phone to connect to the computer right now, so once I get a new cable, I'll upload some pics of our backyard!*

Sunday we all slept in late. Alan finished planting our new trees with the kiddos while I worked on cleaning up inside. We ran to the grocery store, took naps, and then had some friends over for dinner! I love having company, especially since it means I "have" to get the house clean before hand. :) We all had a great time and hope to do it again soon!

27 Weeks with Rebekah Jo!

It's been 3 weeks since I've updated on sweet RJ... Life has been crazy busy and I just haven't taken the time to sit down and blog. I haven't taken a picture yet, but hopefully that'll come sometime this week...

How far along? 27 weeks

Baby's size? Cucumber (15 inches, 2.2 pounds) Well, looks like RJ might end up being slightly bigger than Miss E... On Friday, she was weighing in at almost 2.5 lbs! I know ultrasounds can be off, but that's significantly bigger than I expected!

Gender? It's a baby girl! Rebekah Jo!

Maternity clothes? I've mainly been wearing my maternity clothes lately, just to look a little nicer... But I can still rock the regular athletic shorts, tank tops, and some dresses.

Weight Gain? I've skipped the scales this month... Again... And I'm not looking forward to the scales at the doctor's office next Tuesday... I've been surrounded by such amazing food lately!

Stretch marks? Not quite sure if I have new ones or not...

Belly button in or out? In, but getting flatter and flatter

Sleeping? Better the past couple nights, but that's because I haven't been downing a HUGE glass of water right before bed. You would think I'd have learned by now... Haha

Foods I'm loving? Just about anything!

Foods I'm hating? Nothing really!

Best moment this week? We've been having tons of fun with just Elizabeth this week! She sure does miss her brother, though!

Movement? Most definitely! Her head is up and feet down, so that's been interesting - I don't think either E or D were ever like that.

And I might be looking at investing in a fake ring for the next 11 weeks

Milestones? Less than 100 days to go! Only 92 days until my actual due date, but she will most likely be here a bit early!

Emotions? Pretty good this week!

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July in Texarkana! We are hamburgers, hot dogs, and watermelon, got to swim, and even shoot off some smaller fireworks. We tried to go to the big celebration Texarkana puts on, so we kept the kids up late to see the fireworks... Only to find out at 9:30 (when the fireworks were supposed to start) that it was canceled due to the yucky weather earlier in the day. Oh well! We still had a blast with our little family!

24 Weeks with Rebekah Jo!

How far along? 24 weeks and 1 day!

Baby's size? Ear of corn (8.5 inches, 1.5 pounds)

Gender? It's a baby girl! Rebekah Jo!

Maternity clothes? I've mainly been wearing my maternity clothes lately, just to look a little nicer... But I can still rock the regular athletic shorts, tank tops, and some dresses.

Weight Gain? Well, my doctor was right... This was my biggest weight gain month. I've gotta slow it down some. ;) I am currently up 14 pounds. But I can tell she had a couple growth spurts because there would be several days here and there that I could not eat enough... Just got to work on making sure I'm eating healthy food, not ice cream... Ha

Stretch marks? Not quite sure if I have new ones or not...

Belly button in or out? In, but getting flatter and flatter

Sleeping? Ok... Not the greatest, but not the worst!

Foods I'm loving? Just about anything! We had a roast the other day and instead of making it easy on myself and adding potatoes and carrots in the crockpot, I HAD to have mashed potatoes and candied carrots... It was pretty tasty!

Foods I'm hating? Nothing really!

Best moment this week? A super fun weekend with both church friends and at a minor league baseball game with Alan's company

Movement? Well, towards the end of the week I was feeling tons of movement on either side of my tummy. I had an ultrasound on Thursday and it turns out she was in the breech position. I am pretty sure she has flipped back to head down because the movement is more like rolling around and small jabs in the middle of my tummy again. One day Alan will get to feel her...

What I'm looking forward to? We started transforming the guest room over the weekend, but it's still a storage room for various thing. I can't wait until it's complete.

What I'm missing? Sleep! Haha

Symptoms? Frequent potty breaks, exhaustion, food cravings/aversions

Milestones? We've hit viability! I definitely hope she "cooks" quite a bit longer, but it's so reassuring to know that we have reached this milestone!

Emotions? Pretty good this week!

And here is a comparison of all three pregnancies at 24 weeks. I am definitely carrying lower than I was with either Elizabeth or David. I am also quite a bit bigger...
