Chalk and sweet outfits

It's no secret, my kiddos LOVE playing with chalk, especially David. The little stinker also loves to chomp down on it. Any advice on how to stop that!? Ha. I've started working with Elizabeth on writing her name. We've got the "E" down for sure. Now we're working on the "l" and "i."

I tried to get some pictures of the two of them together. Little Miss E was quite the ham, but David wasn't really having it...

The same day I took David's 16 month pictures, I also took some of Elizabeth. You'll have to excuse the messy hair, but she sure was hamming it up!

David has been loving climbing up the ladder then going down the slide. I finally got brave enough to step back a couple feet and let him "try" to go by himself... It resulted in the following pictures.

A New Year

I hope everyone has had a wonderful beginning of 2014! We have been having a blast playing outside (when it's not freezing like today), getting into our new Christmas toys, and watching movies snuggled up on the couch! Alan went back to work last Monday and I don't go back until Friday, so I'm trying to enjoy the rest of my time off by catching up on sleeping, reading, and housework.

One of my goals for 2014 is to take more pictures. I feel like I didn't take very many in 2013 and I don't ever want to regret not taking very many pictures. Elizabeth and David change soo often, and I want to be able to remember all of their fun stages! So without further ado, here is a picture overload from the past 6 days!

Picnic and Swinging

Pops had off on Monday, so we took that time to go to the park for a picnic and swinging. Both kiddos had a blast (and then went home and took stellar naps)! Elizabeth wanted nothing to do with anything else after we found the swings, which didn't surprise me one bit! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures with me or Gammie in them, but I did get some good ones of the kids and Pops. :)
