15 Weeks with Rebekah Jo!

How far along? 15 weeks and 2 days!

Baby's size? Naval Orange (4.5 inches, 2-3 oz)

Gender? It's a GIRL!!! Rebekah Jo

Maternity clothes? Yes and no - I've been in maternity pants for several weeks now... I can definitely still wear regular shirts, dresses, and "comfy" pants/shorts.

Stretch marks? No new ones yet.

Belly button in or out? In

Sleeping? It's been a bit rougher in the sleep department this week. I've been pretty restless and can't seem to stay comfy for long.

Foods I'm loving? CHINESE FOOD!!! We've been to Pei Wei a couple times... Lettuce wraps and Kung Pao Chicken are pretty tasty! Anything with beef! Current other favorites are burgers, steak, grilled/roasted veggies, and corn on the cob with butter and lemon pepper!

Foods I'm hating? Certain forms of chicken, I'm starting to drink some coffee again, but it's still not my favorite...

Best moment this week? Not feeling as sick

Movement? Yes, but nothing consistent

What I'm looking forward to? Starting to decorate our nursery! I know we've still got a long time, not to mention that once we turn the bedroom into a nursery we'll lose our guest bedroom. I'm glad both kiddos are in big beds now!

Symptoms? Frequent potty breaks, exhaustion, food cravings/aversions, still the occasional nausea

Milestones? Not really sure of any huge milestones this week

Emotions? Pretty good this week! We had an ultrasound last Friday and everything is looking good so far!

What's in a Name...

We found out about two weeks ago that we are having...

A GIRL!!!

And, of course, I couldn't wait to start buying a few items for her. One of them being her Easter basket! My parents have given each of our kids their Easter basket for their first Easter, and baby girl #3 is no different! I just so happened to go online and look to see if by some chance they still had some, and lo and behold they did!

And, if you can't tell from the Easter basket, we already have a name picked out! Rebekah Jo. My amazing Granddaddy's middle name was Joe, and we knew that we wanted to honor him with using a part of his name. In addition, my mom's middle name is also Jo, so we are able to use both my Granddaddy and my mom's middle name. And I absolutely LOVE the way it sounds! I think of her as Rebekah Jo already, so it will be interesting to discover if both names stick around or if we just start calling her Rebekah.

We chose the name Rebekah from the Bible. In an amazing act of faith, Rebekah left her people and went to Canaan to marry Issac. The meaning of Joe is "God will increase." It is our hope and prayer that sweet Rebekah Jo will have an amazing faith in our Lord and Savior, and that God will increase her in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Him.

14 weeks with Baby #3!

I don't know how regular I'll be with these, but I love looking back at Elizabeth's and David's, so I'm going to try to do it for baby #3!

How far along? 14 weeks!

Baby's size? Lemon (3 inches, 1.5 oz)

Gender? We know! But waiting a bit longer to confirm. :)

Weight Gain? Thinking about deleting this one... I'm not going to worry as much about weight gain, my goal is to eat relatively healthy and make sure I'm getting some form of exercise in most days!

Maternity clothes? Well, I've been in maternity pants for several weeks now... I can definitely still wear regular shirts, dresses, and "comfy" pants/shorts.

Stretch marks? No new ones yet.

Belly button in or out? In

Sleeping? Lately, I've only been waking up about once to go to the bathroom, which is making for much better sleeping! But I do tend to be pretty restless most nights.

Foods I'm loving? Anything with beef! Current favorites are burgers, steak, grilled/roasted veggies, and corn on the cob with butter and lemon pepper!

Foods I'm hating? I'm not too keen on chicken still, but Chick-fil-a and such is starting to sound better.

Symptoms? Frequent potty breaks, exhaustion, food cravings/aversions, still the occasional nausea (although it's almost completely gone...  ::knock on wood::)

Milestones? Not really sure of any huge milestones this week

Emotions? I had good and bad days. Last Wednesday was pretty rough, but I've turned that around and have been in holding my own since Thursday afternoon!

Easter 2015

We had a super fun Easter this year! The kiddos actually let us sleep in until almost 8! We then did Easter baskets and got ready for church.

We had a great service and then headed back to the house to eat a quick lunch and get Easter dinner going. I made sure to take a couple pictures of the kiddos in their Easter outfits. They looked precious, despite the fact that sweet David's tie was WAY too long. :)

One of Alan's sisters and her two boys came down that afternoon to spend some time with us! It's always nice to get to see them - we used to see them more often when we lived closer. Elizabeth and David love their cousins! And I even got some snuggle time with my youngest nephew. Definitely looking forward to baby snuggles soon!

We hunted Easter eggs in the backyard! Which was something that I was afraid wouldn't happen  because we'd had so much rain lately. Then we had a yummy dinner with ham, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and green beans!

It's always so fun to get to see family, especially on a special holiday! Can't wait to see my sweet nephews again soon!

Bluebonnets 2015

We went to the George Bush Library a week ago to see if they had any bluebonnets. They had a couple good patches, but all I could see were ant beds, so we ended up in a sparser part of the bluebonnets. I still love how they turned out! I sure do love my two little sweet hearts!

Hmmm... Look what I found... What does it say?

Oh no, life is about to get crazy!

Hooray for a new brother or sister!!
More to come at a later date...
