Alan took a long weekend this past weekend and we headed to Padre Island with his sisters and their families. We had a great time hanging out with them, despite the fact that our kiddos schedules were so different. I only made it out to the beach one day, and that was only for a couple minutes. The tarp that we were planning on using didn't hold up to the horrendous wind on Saturday. That was all fine and dandy, especially since Elizabeth HATED the beach. She would cry every time we tried to put her in the sand or let the water touch her. A complete opposite from the time we spent in the pool... Like in Texarkana, she loved the pool (although it took her a couple minutes to warm up the first time) and was swimming and jumping the entire time. David, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy the little time he got to spend in the sand and surf. Not to mention the pool. I'll have to get a video the next time we go swimming, but he spent the ENTIRE time he was in the pool screaming in happiness and splashing. Sooo cute!
So enough talking... Lets get to the pictures (and unfortunately there aren't many... I didn't do the best job getting the camera out - it's hard to do that with a very active 7 month old who has decided he doesn't want to stay still).

What you can't see is that she's fussing... she just doesn't like sand |
Hopefully we can get Elizabeth to like the beach by next summer. I'm thinking a trip to Florida to see Uncle Dustin needs to happen!!
