Rebekah Jo is 7 Months Old!

Sweet baby girl,

Yet another month has come and gone. And what a month it's been! You're becoming more and more mobile and are such a joy to parent! You've certainly blossomed this month and are even happier than you were! Your brother and sister absolutely adore you, and the same goes for Mommy and Daddy! We can't wait to watch what the next month entails!

Love,
Mommy

Weight: 15 1/2 pounds, according to my scale

Length: 27.5 inches

Diaper size: Size 2

Teeth: Your first tooth popped through 2 days after you turned six months old and your second one came in the day before you turned 7 months!

Clothes size: 6-9 months, 9 months, and even some 6-12. Time slow down!!

Sleep: You started sleeping through the night a couple days before turning 7 months old! Fingers crossed it sticks!!

Favorite activities/things: Sleeping, wiggling, smiling, talking, and eating. :)

Eating: This has been another month of eating adventures! You absolutely LOVE to eat!! We even started you eating some table food. You enjoy that, and I know before long you'll be eating tons of it! You're still eating two pouches/tubs of baby food with each meal!

You are nursing anywhere from every 3-4 hours during the day for a total of 5 times. If we are out and about, you refuse to nurse, but are generally happy as long as we're on the go!

Nicknames: Punkin' bear, Little Bit, RJ, Wiggles

Talking: You are quite the talker! You've continued with the da-da-da, but added the ma-ma-ma into the mix! I love hearing that!!

New adventures: Nothing new this month, but we've had a great one regardless!

New Skills: You are scooting ALL over the place! Still getting up on all fours and rocking, but no full on crawling yet. I know it'll be soon, though!

And here are the pictures... :)

Parent Dedication

On Sunday, we had parent dedication at church. We promised to raise our precious kiddos up to love the Lord and do what we can to show them the truth. It was such a special time. Alan and I love our church and are so grateful for the time and effort they pour into our children. We are so thankful we were able to come back to the church we started out at and that our pastor, who did our premarital counseling eight years ago is still there. I know Alan and I can't wait to watch our children grow up in this church and we are excitedly looking forward to the day they all accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

With our Pastor

Rebekah Jo is SIX months old!

Sweet Rebekah Jo,

How in the world are you already half a year old!? I feel like this year is just flying by!

Weight: 14 lbs, 3 oz! We've jumped from 8th to 14th percentile in two months!! We just love eating...

Length: 26.75 inches! Again a pretty significant jump... From 52% to 81%! This girl has her Daddy's genes... Long and lean!

Diaper size: Size 2

Teeth: Not yet, but any day now...

Clothes size: She can still fit into her 3-6 and 6 month clothes, but she is also beginning to wear 6-9, 9, and even some 6-12 month clothes!! I packed away all of the winter 3-6 and 6 month clothes and have been loving the spring clothes!!

Sleep: You started taking a pretty good morning nap this month! So nap time has begun to regulate. Most days, especially on the days we don't have school, you take two really good naps that range from 1.5 - 3 hours long. Nighttime has been hit or miss again. But this time, I think it's your teeth... Hopefully once they pop through you'll be sleeping again!

Favorite activities/things: Sleeping, wiggling, smiling, talking, and eating. :)

Eating: This has been a month of eating adventures! You've been on solids for an entire month now and absolutely love them! It's been different with working and having two other kids... I haven't made any baby food for you. Instead, you do pouches or the tubs of food. And you are a tank - you will eat two tubs with each sitting! You've also tried bananas, cheese, tortillas, chicken, and ground turkey. You've loved everything we've given you. And so far, like your brother and sister, you are showing no signs of being allergic to pears and pineapple (your Daddy is allergic to those).

You are nursing anywhere from every 2-4 hours during the day and once or twice at night (for a total of 6-7 times a day). I have tried nursing you whenever you wake up at night, but I honestly think that makes it worse. You do much better when you're hungry and nurse as opposed snacking through the night.

Nicknames: Punkin' bear, Little Bit, RJ, Wiggles

Talking: You are quite the talker! You started your da-da-da this month. While I love hearing you say it, I hope ma-ma-ma is on the way soon!

New adventures: Nothing new this month, but we've had a great one regardless!

New Skills: You are slowly starting to push yourself backwards. Pretty soon you'll be up on all fours rocking back and forth... Not sure I'm ready for this...

You were such a ham for pictures this month... I had a really hard time narrowing it down, so you've got quite a few. :)

I realized once I uploaded my pictures that I took them using the wrong month sticker (I was stuck on month 5...), so I had to retake them. Lucky that I did, though, because the first round, you just wanted to pull and suck on the sticker. With the correct month I had reinforcements... Your brother and sister caught your attention and distracted you from the sticker on your belly.
